The coaching staff has sat down recently and has made tentative plans for the 2012 cross country season already! One of the things the staff would like to continue in 2012 is the Saturday morning runs.
This upcoming season, the Saturday morning runs will start on August 18 and continue through either September 22 or 29, depending on when the Willmar Optimist meet will be (either Saturday, September 29 or Saturday, October 6).
The coaching staff is supportive in having breakfast get togethers each Saturday after the runs have been completed to continue our team building momentum from the 2011 season.
We are looking for volunteer host families for each of the Saturdays from August 18 through the end of September. The Wrights have volunteered for Saturday September 8. You would host just the runners and coaches after the practice. You are welcome to feed the troops whatever you wish.

Darlene Dirkes has put up some awesome photos on a website (Snapfish) for everyone to view if you wish. You can contact her at: darlene1978@gmail.com and she will send you the link to her photos. (the photos from our home meet looking across the fields toward the homes that border our course on the north are REALLY cool).
Also, Tim Wright has photos taken on his Iphone at a couple of the meets that he can share with anyone if they contact him at: twright1@progressive.com. Tim can email them or text them to you. Do it quickly as he will be deleting the photos off of his phone in the near future.

Storm CC Runners Excel in local races!
Nathan Miller finished as the 9th runner overall at the St. Cloud Orthopedics Jingle Bell 5K on November 19 with a time of 19:34, good enough for 4th place in his age group.
Mariah Ballard, Sarah Roach, and Mckenzie Froiland also participated in the race, finishing with times of 26:04, 26:41 and 26:45 respectively.
