Congratulations to Nathan Miller for finishing 8th out of 222 runners at the Snowflake Shuffle on December 11, 2010 at the campus of St. Ben's.   Nathan finished 2nd in the under age 18 group as well!

Nathan also participated in the Jingle Bell 5K at St. Cloud Orthopedics in Sartell on November 20, 2010.  Nathan finished 11th overall!!

If you know of any other Storm CC members who are participating in any type of race, please let me know.

Off Season Group Runs

Please remember next summer:

Sunday night 7 pm fun runs at Sauk Rapids Municipal Park will begin in June just as we did this past summer.  Please meet at the new shelter.  I will have mile marks again to both the north and south.

If anyone wishes to do a group run on a weekend this winter and upcoming spring, please contact me and I can see if Drew and I can join some of you.  We are around some weekends and others we have commitments.  We can run from the Park or we can pick other locations to run.

Off season Race Links!

Winter has arrived and the local race calendar is pretty much behind us.  The Jingle Bell 5K in St. Cloud, Becker's 5K and The Snowflake Shuffle 5K in St. Joseph have all just recently been completed.   If you are still looking for races to participate in the off season, I have included a few links.  Enjoy!

Post CC Pot Luck Wrap Up

Thanks to all of you who attended the year end potluck and brought something to share with all of the families. I had a real good time and I hope the rest of you did as well.

A special "thanks" to Don and Susan Thielen for their gifts of photographs to all of the runners and the items for Rod. Also, a big "thanks" to Carol Miller for going out and getting a gift card for Rod. I love the involvement of our parents with our team. We are a very small group, but the support we show for all of the runners is truly special.

Please keep in touch with me over the off season if you have questions, suggestions or concerns. I will do my best to update the Storm CC Blog over the course of the year. Thanks again!

Reminder: If you know of anyone else that may have interest in participating next season, I would really appreciate it. Ask them to contact me (twright1@progressive.com) so I can get their email address in my database. Thanks!!
