Mongo's Meal - Wednesday September 26
The student athletes on the team have organized a trip to Mongo's following practice on Wednesday, September 26. Families are welcome to join the runners if they wish following practice on Wednesday.

Pancake Breakfast Fund Raiser Quickly Approaching!
Just a reminder that we are just over one week away from our pancake breakfast on Sunday September 30 at Rollies. Please make sure that your athletes sells all of their alloted 20 tickets that were given to them the end of August.
Please turn in your money to Coach Zeilenga as soon as all of your tickets are sold and do not return any unsold tickets. (we have not received a lot of money back at this point) This is our biggest fundraiser for the team and we need everyone to come through!
Again, if you want a flyer to be posted somewhere, please ask the coaches and they will get a flyer to you to post.

Last Saturday Morning Practice and Breakfast 9/22
Please remember our last Saturday morning practice takes place on Saturday September 22, 2012 at the Lindholm's. Many thanks to the Sunstroms for hosting this past Saturday, the food was unbelievable!
After a great turnout on September 8 (23 runners), we had a poor turnout on September 15 (thanks to those who did show!) and the Sunstroms were stuck with a lot of leftover food. Please do what you can to be there for practice on Saturday the 22nd.
The Lindholm's live at: 10455 Ferry Point Place NW in Rice. You can travel Hwy 10 north toward Rice and turn left (west) toward the river on 105th St NW (look for the brown Bend in the River Regional Park sign). When you get to River Road NE (Benton County Hwy 55), take a right and then a quick left onto Ferry Point. (or you can travel up the River Road until you get to Ferry Point if you want the scenic route)

Saturday Morning Post Practice Breakfast
This Saturday's (9/15) morning practice will take place at the Sunstrom's in Sauk Rapids at 7:30 am at 2037 West Highview Drive.
Highview Drive runs parallel to Benton Drive and the river and is located between Hwy 15 and Cty Rd 29 in Sartell. You can access West Highview from Benton Drive if you turn onto Benton Oaks Drive and go up the steep hill away from the river and take a left at the stop sign (north) on West Highview to the Sunstrom's.

Thank you to Todd and Julie Scott for offering to host the team for a pasta meal on the eve of the Central Lakes Conference Championship! The meal will follow practice on Monday October 15, 2012. Further details will follow as the day draws closer.

Storm Home Meet Information - Thursday September 6

Our home meets are held in Mayhew Creek Park that is adjacent to Sauk Rapids-Rice High School on the school's north side.
All of the races incorporate some type of double loop, so it will be important for those of you who volunteered (thanks again!) to meet with Tim Wright and Kevin Hines at 4 pm so we can locate you properly on the course. If you have issues coming that early, please talk to Tim or Kevin so we can make arrangements.
Lastly, other volunteers may be needed just to stand for one race so the volunteers can watch their son or daughter participate. Most of the spots on the course are in the open, so we would recommend bringing a lawn chair for comfort between races along with sunglasses, hats and water/liquids. Tim learned this the hard way last year in the 85 degree heat.

Just a reminder of our first Saturday morning breakfast run coming up this Saturday, September 8. The team will be meeting at the Wright's at 7:30 am sharp. The Wright's are located at 143 Frontier Court in Sauk Rapids (where the team pot luck was held after the Apollo Early Bird Meet).
After practice is completed, the athletes will enjoy breakfast together. This is the first of three consecutive Saturday team breakfasts. See you all on the 8th!
